In the rapidly urbanising landscapes of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), managing traffic flow and urban development requires innovative solutions. Kanousei Technology has been at the forefront of this challenge. Recently we completed a critical project that employed digital twin technology to reimagine traffic management over a 7km stretch of a major highway.
Data-Driven Insights
The digital twin captured and visualised extensive data on current traffic conditions. This provided stakeholders with a clear picture of existing challenges. This visualisation was crucial in communicating the areas in need of intervention and facilitated data-driven decision-making for future developments.
Solution Implementation
The subsequent phase of the project focused on proposing solutions to alleviate identified traffic issues. By manipulating the digital twin model, Kanousei demonstrated the potential outcomes of various development scenarios, ultimately guiding stakeholders towards the most effective interventions. This phase was particularly instrumental in planning major reorganisations and developments intended to enhance the urban fabric and improve traffic flow.
Visualisation and Communication
To effectively communicate the proposed solutions and their benefits, Kanousei produced two high-definition videos. The first video depicted the current traffic conditions. The final video illustrated the environment post-mitigation, providing a compelling before-and-after scenario that highlighted the potential improvements.
